Coburg Antique Fair 2010

So, we stayed in a hotel in Eugene, Or. which is about 2 1/2 hours from me. We packed up the whole gang and drove on over! Why you ask? The Coburg Antique Fair! It has been said, "The early bird gets the worm!" This was my first year attending and I am so glad that I did. Ali Edwards has posted about it on her blog a few times. She gets there super early! I didn't make it until 6:30a.m. What a score...there is so much there you can't help but find something you want. And did I ever!

Look what came in the mail for me!

No secret, I am a big fan of Donna Salazar! She's just an all around funny gal with a great sense of humor. She's such a breath of fresh air! Anywho, I submitted a layout for random drawing and won her new Musical Memories sheet music scrap paper! It will be SO much fun to play with and make new paper flowers! She is also the creator of the Distress it all! One of the coolest tools around. Try hand distressing and you will completely understand. Search her name and check out her website and blog. She is also doing Tuesday Tutorials on USTREAM.

Marion Smith's new kit!!!!!

I can't wait until the release! Marion Smith is doing an Alice in Wonderland kit. She is due to post it to her site anytime. I am so excited that I can hardly sit still! Here is the link http://marionsmithdesigns.com/index.php

I am going to talk to the local retailers here in Bend and see if they will invite Marion to do a class or classes as well. I think it would be so awesome to have a fresh class for all to attend. Marion uses tons of Prima as she is an educator for Prima. She is a big user of Tattered Angels as well. What is better than Prima and Tattered Angels.

I wish life were a little simpler at times. I remember the days that I was bored. Not anymore. I hear others saying it but, I just don't have any time to be bored. In fact I am utterly exhausted.

I started a program at the beginning of the Summer called Uplevel Your Life. Christine Kane is the life coach to women that has created an absolutely wonderful program. Let me start off saying just how much I have learned about myself.

There have been many ups and a few downs lately. I feel like a day at the spa. Oh don't I wish. Anyway, I really just wanted to check in.

Today's gratitude's, gifts and gains.....

I am grateful for...
My life
My family
Quiet moments
nature
peace

Gifts
I am talented
I am caring
I am loving
I am creative
I am loved

Gains
I can manifest with the power of my intentions all of the abundance and positive in my life!

4-19-10

I wish I was more on top of things. It is hard to keep up with everything and blog. I want to blog about the fun stuff and don't get a lot of time for the fun stuff. Between selling Avon and watching my nephew, two newly added tasks I don't have much time left. But there is a day crop on the 24th. I am running away!!!! Hurray!

Sunday Morning

It has been so long.....so much happening and changing. My Mom has moved in and is beginning a new chapter in her life. We are all starting to settle in with that. A new year 2010, 20-10, what do you call it? Where does time go. I am looking forward to a new and better year but, have much growing to do. I am not looking forward to the work it will take to get there. Lord have mercy with me because I am stubborn at times.

My word of the year is JOURNEY.

DECEMBER 1, 2009

I am so excited for Christmas. It is my goal to enjoy the holiday season to the fullest! We should be having snow here this weekend! We went out and chopped down our Christmas tree on Sunday. We are blessed with good friends and I had an absolutely wonderful time with my family for our Thanksgiving (re-runs) and Mom's birthday. Our puppies are going to start leaving Saturday thru Tuesday. We will still have the runt for a couple of weeks. I have so much to do and keep up with, it is my goal to be focused and enjoy each moment. No panicing or freaking out. ENJOY THE SEASON and remember the true meaning. * JESUS CHRIST *

Thinking about my Grandparents.....missing you!

I read a note my grandma wrote back in nineteen twenty-three.
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me. He said,
"Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I loved your Grandma so."

We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together.
Get married in the first town we came to, and live forever.
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead
Of her, I found this letter, and this is what it said:

If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.

I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away,
In the doorway of a church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray.
I know I'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years;
But as he said these words to her, his eyes filled up with tears.

If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.
Between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.

Excited about Holiday in Hand

I am very excited about this project that I am working on. It has already been a blessing to me and I can't wait to see the out come. I thought I would be journaling each day but, I think it will be more like December. I am enjoying recalling past stories of Christmas that I had long forgotten. I just would like to thank Jessica Sprague for doing what she does and for allowing me to be a part of this class for free. I will be updating shortly.

Assignment 1 & 2

Assignment 1 Write your

Values and Goals.........

The true meaning of Christmas
Traditions
Family
Joy
Peace
Magical Memories
Fun
Excitement
Enjoying each moment
Christmas tree hunt
Loving each other
Living in the moment

Assignment 2

Commit...........
Find a way to include at least 20 minutes of recording/writing/photographing/savoring/printing/gluing/scrapbooking/remembering/slowing down EVERY DAY in December. This one, I won't lie to you, kind of freaks me out. TWENTY WHOLE MINUTES. I know, right? But it'll be so good, and I'll be doing this right along with you. LOTS of things count toward your tally, and this is a gift that you're giving to you of something that is just about as precious a thing as there is: your time.

So much going on so little time

Well, it's time to catch up. I was sent by my lovely husband to a scrapbooking retreat. My goal, to start my Mom's book of my grandparents that have passed away. It was a successful weekend and I have since scrapped two more pages. I will get pictures and get them posted shortly.

I am so ready to start the whole christmas season. I need to get cleaning and rearranging the house so, we can decorate. You know how that goes it is a task that takes movtivation and I just don't have it! Soon enough.......

I am also starting a Christmas project for me, it is sort of a journaling project about Christmas and the whole season surrounding it. I will be journaling on my blog as a part of that assignment everyday......(this is a part of that commitment piece) I will do my best with everyday. It is called Holidays in Hand. Wish me luck with my commitment and I hope that you are successful with your tasks at hand as well.
